We are now looking for an inspiring leader for the role of Head of Design Studio (f/m/d), who will lead our Design Studio in Hamburg – a team made up of designers, project managers and strategists.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for driving and coordinating our Design Studio department in Hamburg, ensuring that our deliveries maintain the highest quality and support both our own and our clients’ business goals.

As a key part of our leadership team in Germany, and in close collaboration with global and cross-functional teams, you will lead with creativity and strategic vision. You will ensure that our ways of working are efficient, that our clients are satisfied, and that our team continues to develop to stay at the forefront of the design industry.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with:

• Leadership and strategy – Ensuring that design projects are delivered to the highest standard and align with our overall business goals. 
• Innovation and creativity – Fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation within the design studio while staying up to date with global design trends.
• Resource planning and production – Coordinating the team’s work, securing the right resources for projects, and optimising and developing our talents.
• Client focus – Delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations. Supporting Sales Managers in meetings with new clients, contributing to presentations, and providing advice on design processes. You will engage with clients, present ideas, lead workshops, and participate in projects.
• Team development – Leading, developing, and inspiring members of our design studio team.
• Global spirit – Working closely with our headquarters in Stockholm and supporting other Visual Art countries when needed.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

• Extensive leadership experience, preferably from the communications industry and within a matrix organisation, as well as strong business acumen.
• Experience in strategy and/or art direction in a creative environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A solid understanding of design tools and methodologies.
• A coaching and engaging leadership style that builds trust and motivation within the team.
• A strong focus on quality and a structured way of working.
